La 46 Escuela Internacional para Jóvenes Astrónomos (ISYA) se organizó del 7 al 25 de julio en el campus de la Universidad Tecnológica Yachai en Urcuquí, Ecuador, gracias a la colaboración de cuatro universidades ecuatorianas: la Universidad Yachai Tech, la Escuela Politécnica Nacional, la Universidad Central del Ecuador y la Universidad del Azuay.
Recibimos a 32 estudiantes de Bolivia, Brasil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Perú, Trinidad y Tobago, Uruguay y Venezuela, quienes cursan estudios de Astronomía a nivel de licenciatura, maestría y doctorado. Recibieron capacitación de un equipo de 12 docentes de Argentina, Brasil, Ecuador, Italia, México, Noruega, España y Estados Unidos.
