The 46th International School for Young Astronomers (ISYA) was organized from July 7th to 25th at the Yachai Tech University campus in Urcuquí, Ecuador, by an alliance of four Ecuadorian universities, namely Yachay Tech University, Escuela Politécnica Nacional, Universidad Central del Ecuador, and Universidad del Azuay.
We have received 32 students from Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Peru, Trinidad & Tobago, Uruguay, Venezuela who are pursuing Astronomy studies at the BSc/MSc and PhD level. They have been trained by a team of 12 lecturers from Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Italy, Mexico, Norway, Spain and USA.
The following photos have been taken by organizers and students during the school. What a great experience!
